Watched "Joker" last night.
I didn't think it was as good as being made out to be, but I enjoyed it.

I was thinking of seeing it. It's it slow and miserable ? Coz I can't see anyone bettering Ledger. It's not slow or miserable. It's actually pretty ok as storylines go but I couldn't get my head around the fact that "Joker" is a few decades older than Bruce Wayne and Obviously, it's not in keeping with the original origin story of The Joker. A bit of reading online suggests this film isn't about "The Joker" its about a sort of forerunner to the Character that Heath Ledger Plays. THE Joker.
Bit confusing bu5t it's not a bad film. Just not as epic as suggested by those who've watched it.
The Best Batman films are the Christian Bale/Heath Ledger ones.

I just don't 'get' the attraction of films based on American children's comic book characters. What we need is an epic, multi-million series of films based on The Bash Street Kids.

The popularity is quite confusing but I think there is a bit of escapism involved and I do tend to watch most Marvel Films and DC offerings. I enjoy them as much as I enjoy watching anything else really.
However, I am really looking forward to The Irishman being available on Netflix.
