I have a Thakker EPO-E (elliptical) stylus for the Rega Carbon/AT91, a generic Shure 91-ED (needs higher tracking force though than the original) and an elliptical stylus for one of the numerous Technics/Panasonic P-Mount style cartridges. I also have an 'Ed Saunders M55E stylus. All of them have superb tips which are a huge step up from many originals from the 70's, especially the M55E which under a proper microscope was a real nail in original form. I'd say the Thakker is every bit as good as a pukka ATN95E and the elliptical tip refines the slightly crude but lovable AT91/carbon sound - I'd much rather add this stylus than 'upgrade' to a Rega Bias, which still sounds dull and rough to me.
