What would it be?
I guess it’s human nature to covet thy neighbour’s wif....err I mean hifi. So what have you seen on here that you’d love to see indie your tree on Xmas day?
For me it would be Lemos’ Line Magnetic. His Klipsvh wouldn’t fit, or I might be struggling. If Jamie still had his Zeta, I’d love to see that there, too, but only if it came in the wooden box lol. I always promised myself I’d have a boxed one with all the bits.
Anyone else fancy a bit of someone else’s system?

I'd nab Angus's Ortofon Vienna lol.
Other than that, probably nothing.

I can't think of anything somebody else is using that I'd covet.
I've been at this game long enough to know what direction my system is heading and that tends to be different to that of most others.

Mr. Engines Michell. Line Magnetic LM518ia up for sale locally as new mint boxed 2,450 quid. Bloke is replacing it with the LM219ia Do not have that sort of money Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Line Magnetic LM518ia amplifier

Avsa Forums sales thread
I see the man is using it on Martion Bullfrogs. I have demoed these and although impressive they are just to compromised they do many things right and far more things wrong. I think he is trying to tame them, good luck with that. I want the 518ia.

They are horns firing through the middle of a 15 inch bass driver.

among lots of other things , Rudolph Hucker's Gold SME. Just to look at mind. I find SME's as dull as ditch water.

No-one on here as far as I know. DIY so you've got to make them. Bloke called Gordon has some which I've heard. Unbelievable. Jez was there too he'll tell you.

These: The bass enclosure looks like a derivative of a vintage Karlson design. Can't comment on the rest.

There's nothing really attractive about two big oblong box conventional speakers in the front room to most people. Mine are 5 feet out from the corners and back wall. Most people would consider them an eyesore I'm sure. Even worse when I refuse to have anything on top of them to soften the appearance. I know a few people whos better halfs don't let them intrude into the room. My mate had to drag his isobariks ot every time he wanted to play a tune ! The result was he stopped playing tunes. At least those look interesting.

I don't really envy anything in anybody else's system. Right now, I'm too busy trying to remember where I put the various bits of my own system so I can put it back together once the decorating's finished.
