That's why I think our refs are getting lazy because of it.
I've not seen a ref at a match here go over to the screen yet.
They seem to blow for a goal whatever and simply wait for the VAR to make a dicision. .

That's bringing opinion back into the game. I'm 100% convinced it'll just make it worse, but we shall see.

That's stop start all the time anyway. 3 hours to play a 1 hour game.

I think requesting a review is a far better way of implementing it though.

Say 3 per side per game and can be used to check the officials decision if it involves a Goal or a red card tackle. Either given or not. If you are successful, the review gets reinstated, however if you are wrong, you lose one.

That would add an extra degree of excitement imo. A bit of a mix between how they use it in NFL and Tennis.

There's too much money at stake in football to let the mistakes rule. the refs make mistakes, var doesn't but yes, when celebrating a goal, I now always have one eye on the replay.

As a casual observer one can only sit back and appreciate the phenomenon that is Liverpool.....especially the way they strangled the life out of Sheffield United.

Add to this the fact they haven't lost a league game for over a year suggests that they may as well hand them the fucking trophy now.
