And how much whilst doing other things.
I never do other stuff theses days, when I listen, I sit on axis and do nothing else. It gets my full attention. These days I find doing anything else a distraction. And if I’m doing anything else, the music is a distraction.
If I’m lacking energy or feeling unwell, I’m not up to listening. Feeling lousy about 90% of the time means I’m not doing much listening right now because I lack the energy. I wish I was different but I just don’t like background music.
Are you someone who has music on whenever possible?

For me I only have music on if I'm I the mood for it and am going to give it my attention.
No point in background music as if I'm doing something I blot out all other sensory input. I won't even notice it until it finishes and there's silence.
I don't bother sitting on axis very often though

On axis, they just couldn't compete with my TC60s but we're still really good. I will definitely have another pair when I go abroad again.....assuming I get well enough. Totally agree about background listening though. I just can't do two things at once.

Like Westie, I can't listen and do other things any more. I've been re-decorating for several days; several years ago I'd have had music on the whole time. Now I find I either don't listen to the music, or lose concentration on whatever else I'm doing.

Reading. It's the only other thing I do while music's on. Most of the time I just stare outside. I miss the coal fire . That was the ultimate music enhancer. And when I'm reading I play none vocal stuff through headphones. I don't find them as involving. If I don't I can't concentrate on the book.

All day everyday as background music from my workshop system. Almost 100% Radio 2.
Actually quite rare these days that I use my main system and have a "proper listening session".
