It was study that put me off books, I got into a habit of skim-reading the start end end of a paragraph and looking for key words in between. I find it hard to read in a linear fashion now and also impossible to concentrate, I end up skimming the same bit a few times over and then giving up.

I can concentrate on books, but on little else. 'Easily distracted' was a phrase that often featured in my school reports.

I have trouble reading unless it 100% total silence, or i start reading the same line twice & loose interest straight away. When i give up on a book i never ever pick it back up..
