For instance only say a year ago i would not entertain Tangerine Dream past the 1975 'Ricochet' album which be the 7th album. Now i own the first 30 albums up to about 1986.
This is what happens when you drop the Tunnel vision views on things & just enjoy for what things are.. Me listening to Simple minds & U2 would have never ever happened.

I've always had quite catholic tastes in music, but I've never been able to 'get' opera. Several people have told me over the years that I will, once I'm old enough, but time's running out!

Opera would be okay if they got rid of the singing.

I would say my musical tastes have remained pretty constant over the years....

I can't listen to Donald Fagen's The Nightfly any more. I played it to death when I first bought it, and last time I gave it a spin it was just irritating, I can listen to Steely Dan albums multiple times, nae bother.

Opera would be okay if they got rid of the singing. The women are the worst, The bit I hate most is the point where the real bloaters suck in a huge gulp of air and then their eyes swell. You know your ears are about to be battered with a noise that would be classified as harmful if it was in the workplace. Yeah, I hate Opera too, and largely because of the singing. I do like Andrea Bocelli though lol.

They have changed over time, but I still listen to, and still like the music of past times in my life; nothing better, nothing worse, just a wider listening pool.

I've always had quite catholic tastes in music, but I've never been able to 'get' opera. Several people have told me over the years that I will, once I'm old enough, but time's running out! They can play that opera Sh#t at my funeral, the only time it will be unable to annoy the Sh#t out of me. I want to shoot the bloody sopranos to stop them from multiplying, or make them watch someone chew on a lemon while they are attempting to sing, or shriek more like.

I still regularly listen to all the albums I had as a teenager - The Cult, ZZ Top, Dire Straits, Boston, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Zep, Clapton, Tull. Nothing eclectic. I've bought them all again on CD so I don't have to piss about with the vinyl anymore. I don't understand the mindset that says you have to be listening to new stuff and always 'moving on.'
Some times I check out new stuff people recommend but it rarely does anything for me.

There's the odd gem . But since rap and electronic dance and the stuff they wrongly now call R&B it's mostly gone to Sh#t. Rock is deaf I'm afraid. Just not in my house !
