Hi all,
After what seems like a ferociously busy 5 years, Bigbottle Audio will be taking a hiatus from the world of HiFi equipment creation and sales.
In recent times our personal lives have become incredibly demanding and we feel the time is right to step away for a while and concentrate our efforts on the people that need it. That said, we will still be offering FULL support for anyone who is already a Bigbottle customer, so don't worry....we aren't entirely shutting up shop, just significantly reducing the load for now.
I would just like to thank the 287 (some DIY, some official builds) Bigbottle Phonostage owners for all of their support, their recommendations, and their continued enthusiasm for the BB3. It's been an absolute joy, and having been able to bring this kind of performance to people is something Alan and i are extremely proud of.
For now, we have some ideas of things we would like to try, and will work on these in the background. I may also release the odd fully built unit for sale now and again, but at times that fits in with home life.
See you soon.
Oliver & Alan

WOW 287, that's not a bad number at all, well done chaps! We are very proud of that number, and the fact it's a truly global product. There is a BB3 on every continent, apart from Antarctica. That's quite bonkers IMO.

I’ve never heard bad word said about a Big Bottle phono stage, something to be very proud of in the world of hi-fi! Encouraged me to buy one of the boards to have a go (not that it’s been out the box yet!)
Well done to Oli and Alan for putting their money where their mouth is and bringing some well regarded products to market, no mean feat and no doubt many hours invested.

Sounds like a well earned rest, love my bb3 , can't see it being sold any time soon. Great design and top support from both of you so many thanks for that!

A well earned break for both.
Gives you a chance to do a bit of basking too (also well earned).
I'm sure you'll be back at some point in some iteration or another.
Cheers guys.

I am in a full caring mode now and I am doing all the cooking, which I don't mind, but I think I would rather just buy a cake from the supermarket Problem now is Shirley's loss of appetite and when she 'doesn't like the look of' what I have prepared, hey-ho.

I always sat in admiration of my MIL as she fed her husband with D... in the nursing home . he used to say , thats enough and she just waited a few minutes and popped another mouthful in. Thats enough he said and waited and in goes another mouthful as he had forgotten what he said .... it really is hard work hope both you and ollie enjoy a rest from hifi repairs
