There really must be some Uber Bell-Ends in this hobby if those actually sell.
I reckon there's more chance of Zoe Ball and Jo Whiley swinging on my doorbell then having a catfight over who gets the honour of giving me a BJ, than there is of any QSA product providing a significant SQ uplift commensurate with the price.

Are they bell ends, maybe, but possibly not, they’re just rich.

PS: I’d you don’t have much money and you buy one, the yes BE it is 😉 At least they are getting something for their money i.e a room and a bed for the night. Probably both high quality. With this stuff you get nothing, maybe at best a placebo effect which could be had for a lot less (granite coaster on top of your DAC for example £3.99 in Sainsbury's). Although I suppose they might already have done that. It's interesting that even true believers have a cut-off point beyond which it must be foo. How is that arbitrated? |

In these sort of cases I believe the arbiter is a personal one, with each person having their own vfm perception. Many outside this hobby cant understand why we would happily spend more on an mm cart than they would on a complete midi system from Curry's.
A friend of mine has a 200k+ system heaving with Entreq grounding shite, and the top Mutec clock. He recently bought the D'Agostino Momentum Pre/Pwr combo (ex dem) and had it sent of for a £9k upgrade to latest spec. To him having gone this far his attitude is its not worth ruining the ship for a Ha'peth of tar.

dandagostino.com/products/momentum-hd-preamplifierseen them in 'real life' and surprisingly they don't look as Sh#t as they do in the photos. Not had a listen. The power amp actually measures worse than the old Krells I have. Lots more power though. Same designer for both.
