Went to see the Ayoub Sisters last evening. They are inventive and relate well to the audience. It was quite a mix of genre bending music and a very enjoyable evening. It did feel like the mics or processing was not ideal as the leading edges of notes were a bit electric and blunted, that being on violin, cello, guitar, and drums. But still a good night out with enjoyable live music.

Going to see Rag'n'Bone Man at Cardiff Castle in June. Not really my thing, but Mrs. Pony likes him. We plan to have a poke around South Wales for a couple of days while we're there. Never been before, supposed to be quite nice.

Never been before, supposed to be quite nice. Better live than on the radio that's for sure. We saw him (whilst waiting for the 'main' act) at the Montreux Jazz Festival a few years ago. His voice is extremely impressive live. The stuff you hear on radio or even just recorded music do not do him justice. Not really my thing either but I can appreciate the quality of his voice.

Went to see an orchestra tonight at Huddersfield Town Hall.
Symphonie Fantastique, including Ravel's Rapsodie espagnole. Also, catch previous Leeds International Piano Competition winner, Artur Pizarro, as he performs Saint-Saëns' ever-popular Piano Concerto No. 2 with the world-class Orchestra of Opera North, under the baton of Julia Jones
Bloody brilliant - 2 and a bit hours of pure class.
