Bloody Quack put me on Furosemide water tablets for my blood pressure, only take one in the morning. What a curse, got to pee all the time, and it comes up desperate with no notice, you got to go. Got a continual dry mouth and throat. I do not take if I am going out. Beginning to feel that the heart attack might be a better option. Talk to the Quack "yes they do that", without even looking up, "just live with it".
Yea right, You Bugger!

Ask the Doc if you can be put on Ramipril. It's the only one that didn't give me any significant side effects. The only thing I noticed was fingers and toes feeling a bit cold some of the time, but not badly.
And for god's sake never let him put you on Amlodipine. I thought I was dying, the side effects were so bad. It affects others badly too.

I take Beta blockers because I have arterial fibrillation, also warfarin, I think Ramipril would not be suitable for my condition. Will just have to put up with the water tablet.

I have Dilated Cardiomyopathy (Heart Failure) and take 10mg of Ramipril, 10mg of Bisoprolol, 10 mg of Ivabradine and 80mg of Furosemide, I have a Pacemaker and Defibrillator and the side effects are shite, but I guess it’s better than death which is the other option.

Luckily it wasn't at all caused by lifestyle, which is good because I am more than a little overweight. I am trying to do something about that but this damn medication helps you put on weight, not lose it!

I drink a small glass of whisky every day to raise my cholesterol level, as it is too low. Doctors orders, bur he would not give me a prescription for it.

Stop it now, if you have something to say, please extend us the courtesy of saying it. That symbol means nothing to me. If it is some form of North Yorkshire slang I apologise, in that case could you please clarify.

Being so young and having to live with such a condition cannot be easy. I am surprised I have made it to 68 without any major issues, considering my lifestyle.

Take it you mean Atrial Fibrillation ? I have the same problem. Was diagnosed about 20 years ago but wasn’t put on any medication as it was deemed minor. Until it caused me to have an MI that is. Luckily no heart damage that they could find so I got off lightly. On a beta blocker and aspirin now to prevent a reoccurrence.

Brown sugar etc?
Dr told me about 8yrs ago that I needed to lose weight. I dropped 4 stone by cutting out 'White' foods.
Potatoes, sugar and white bread.
A bit of exercise and I went from 21st to 17st in 6 months. Unfortunately I am now eating a Bacon, Sausage and egg sandwich on crusty white bread lol. I need to get back on it myself!

Most I've weighed was nearly 14st, which is 3st too much for me. I'm 12.5st at the moment, but eating less and aiming to get down to 11st. I went down to 10.5st a couple of years ago when I went through a long phase of working on the house. The exercise and lack of time to eat saw the pounds fall away, until my daughter told me off for looking too skinny.

Cant win, either you are to fat or to skinny, I do not give a Sh#t, I am who I am, take it or leave it. My brother who is 18 months younger than I, has always been the out door sporty type, big strong bloke. Built his own yacht, sailed it half way round the world, played provincial rugby, was a judo champ, mountain climber, etc. He is in a worse state of health now than me, three open heart ops under his belt. I have drawn the conclusion that it all means nothing, you play the game you choose, draw the cards genetics hand you, take your chances, and live with the results.

I hover around 13 stone which is overweight for my height, I ride 200 miles a week and climb about ten hours so it's mostly thighs and shoulders... and beer.
