looks nice mate, good work! apart from removing the hum any other performance gains? Not had time to have a proper listen tbh. It took at least 5 hours to complete it, then about an hour tiding the garage and dining room table I’ll have a good listen tomorrow hopefully.

That's a job well done Has it got rid of the hum? Those Audyn caps are superb. I prefer them to the True Copper Max.

I only walk to the chippy because it's not really that far and it's the only exercise I'm getting right now.

Yeah, get yourself out in the daylight and keep that mental energy high. I've started walking the dogs in the day rather than in the evening and found myself feeling a lot less "meh"

Just putting the finishing touches to some cable orders, and finished programming a new FPGA for a new dsp set up on a dac I am working on.
Now an ice cold Westons Vintage awaits

Curtain pole and curtains, new sieve and chopping board, couple of work bits n bobs and did all signal wiring on the Emerald.
Anyone got any 20mm fuses, 3A should do it.

Now an ice cold Westons Vintage awaits I have not had a decent cider for two years now…. I recall asking for cider on a visit to Italy not too long ago , they looked at me with blank faces !!! Also visited a high class Italian just before christmas and they did not have it on the menu !! I guess there is not so much where you are is there ?

There is cider available, but it is not the same. I can get Thatchers Gold locally, but nothing better.

Applied two drops of bearing oil to the SP10, found it strangely satisfying

I made a visit to Brooks (enricoblackstar) place to help him dial in the Vermillion on his NA Spacedeck/12" Syggwan. Initial listening told me straight away he was running nose down, checked with an OL arm setup card and sure enough the rear was to high by around 6mm at the pivot point. This equated to about 1.4° at the stylus, plenty of detail but also a bit harsh. After 30 mins of dicking about I got the arm spot bollock level (from there I planned on adjusting to the recommended slightly tail down) had a listen using CJ The Trinity sessions, and Damn!! His rig sounded incredible and the album sound better than I'd heard it outside of the £200k Tech Das II optical cart & ARC rig I'd demo'd the Summits on, so left it at that setting. When I got home I stuck CJ on, on my rig and it was okay but no cigar so spent 20 mins pedanticly setting my vta level kas, opposed to 0.4° tail down) and vtf to 1.92. What a difference, I could hear the size of the venue, everything had more realism, the bass was weightier and visceral, a very good day all in I would say.

It's like a free upgrade. And Welcome to the forum @enricoblackstar!

Replaced a mortice lock, finished that Emarald phono and rendered out some 3D animation of sports equipment for a client.
The Emerald is noisy as Sh#t. Need to get it on the scope tomorrow so what's wrong with it.

A cider that I get here is called Somersby, it's very light and refreshing especially with an ice cube in, just to take away the strong fizz. I get a 24 bottle box that lasts at least a month and cost $26, works out much cheaper than buying bottles individually at $1.30

So today is my last day to buy any HiFi related goodies. Apart from a PCB, there is nothing that I think I want right now….
However, 2022 is going to be a challenge. I keep looking…. But I have a cunning plan. Every time I get the urge, I fit an old bit of kit that is lying around and remind myself of how good the current one I have is.

To keep me aware of where I am with my number one rig, I regularily exile myself to the frontroom and system 2 for a few hours or days. Returning to the main rig certainly puts thing back in perspective.

Today I moved my sub to the front instead of to the side. Not sure if it’s the upgrades done recently to the BB3 or the new Brimar KT88’s or maybe it’s the sub being in this position but! it’s all sounds excellent to my ears. It’s got to be the best I’ve heard for a while. Well worth the hours involved. C275EC22-E4E0-490C-BCE6-4D949A580903 by Nathan Rose, on Flickr

I had my room door open a couple of nights ago, I often do , I'm on the second floor with a large balcony outside, sitting at my computer with my back to the door, a bloody big rat ran past me and into the kitchen. My thoughts were f__k, how am I going to get him out, well got the sweeping brush and banged it on the floor and he came out faster than he came out, I was pleased with my efforts
