1) I'd invest equal sums for my children. Maybe £25m a piece. Retire (38yo!)
That leaves me nearly £100m
2) Buy a new house in an area where I have absolutely no history. Purpose built/converted listening room. Move my system in.
3) Buy a house in Kefalonia, which is my favourite place to be. I'd be there all summer.
4) Pay the mortgage off on my house, then raffle it off. All proceeds to charity, not sure which one but something cancer related would probably win.
5) Buy a new mobile phone and burn this one. I'd then give my new number to very few selected folk.
6) New car for me and the gaffer and then book some flights to Greece for a holiday.
7) on return I'd Have some private health care to sort out my numerous crash related injuries.
7) Build the biggest vinly collection imaginable and develop my phonostage further.
8) Use my spare time developing all of my mad ideas into working prototypes.

I don't know about number one. Always the best thing with children is to tell them you are poor and have no money.
if they know they've got 25 million coming that will change how they approach life.
Don't tell anyone not even the wife. I know that sounds harsh but it is for their own good. When you start splashing out tell her you won a sweepstake at work, got a surprise bonus, your Aunt Elaine died and left you a couple of grand. Whatever. When the children are grown up and shown they can fend for themselves then you might let on that you've got a few quid stashed away for them.

I wouldn't tell them and I certainly wouldn't show them that we had money. Their life would be similar to those around them. Won't seem strange lol

I would build a new garage in the garden, with a dedicated home cinema/listening room above it. Replace my car, nothing fancy but something comfortable. Employ a reputable investment company on a low risk basis to manage the money as an investment to free up interest to give to charities. I may also buy a 911 RS GT3, and a newer Caterham.

I'd need an excuse to get out the house if I was sat on £100m and visiting Vinyl shops around the globe would tick two of my enjoyment boxes. Travelling and Vinyl.

I’m not sure why file based listening is such a turn off. I can’t stand computers but I don’t tho k that’s it. I took time to put about 300 CDs onto an iPod in lossless and played them through a WadiA 170. It was still a huge turnoff.
I think I get a lot of pleasure from the looks, build and mechanics of the gear. Same reason I can’t tolerate “hair shirt”, DIY or modded gear. If it’s not slick, professional and beautifully designed/built, the pleasure just isn’t there.

I would rather spend that money on doing something positive for society than enrich my own life with baubles or just pour it into the black holes of charities.
I still admire the wealthy victorians who actually did the right thing by building schools, hospitals and libraries for the people with their money, something that rich pricks like Richard Branson have no real concept of and it does annoy me intensely. What is the point of having billions of pounds sitting idle doing nothing in banks?

Most of these super rich bastids only use their money to make more money, or try to outdo each other by competing with the size of their yachts. Don't get me wrong, I have no envy at all of people working hard and making money so they have a comfortable life, but it grinds my gears when they just accrue huge amounts of money just to massage their egos and do nothing positive with that wealth.

Actually, I don't really think much about money and spend very little. I doubt anything from a lottery win would change that significantly. Not that I participate in lotteries or any other gambling. Apart from everyday living, I only put money towards things with guaranteed profit in them.

Of course it is a tax write-off thing. That is why they all do it.

Remember that Sting cove ? He came on telly with an Amazonian Indian with a frisbee in his lip and shouted about the rain forests. At the same time he was getting loads of dosh from advertising and promoting a new Japanies airport ...... That they'd cleared a rain forest for ! Can I say 'C#nt' ? I just hate sanctimonious celebs.
