Never heard a B&W speaker I liked apart from the old DM2. Yeh thats the era of B&W i had geoff. The latest was the 'DM6' which was around 1977 DM6 - The Pregnant Penguin's. There is pair doing the rounds locally, they come up for resale every now and then.

DM-6 sounded different to the earlier models, it was a Ken Granger design his first.

Had a pair of DM 5's bought them in 76 or there about new. gave them to my dad. Got them back when he died in 2002, only then did I realise how awful they were, nasty grainy things. Sold them to some clot who loved them, for more than I paid for them. All depends on what you partner them with. As i mentioned Partner the Cyrus '2' amp with bright speakers they will fry your Ear drums, Partner the Heybrook 'HB-1' With a bright amp the same will happen. B&W 'DM2a' were a great big speaker but the amps i liked at the time they sounded very dull & lifeless.
