So we can rule out damping factor then lol Have you tried with the PecanPi yet? If you get the same result with the PecanPi then it's probably damping factor as there will not be an impedance mismatch between PecanPi and BOSC. BOSC is DC coupled so bass delivery should be very good. Not yet, Leo Had a really busy day and then watched the football. Sunday will see the Pecan pi installed.

Not really had a chance for a proper listen, so far they seem a very clean amp, little if any character so very neutral.
Bear in mind I’m using them on my Bastanis, so they are only reproducing 200Hz and up.

Kickstarter is live! Grab the early bird special while supplies last: A quick start for a kickstart! Good luck with this. Your design would be a great partner for a speaker manufacturer thinking about active operation. Mind you, with the size, you can pretty much have the same lack of clutter by just neatly locating your amps.

Yes reddit sign up is free, there are multiple sub-reddits that this can be posted in. I am not allowed to post because they do not allow self-promotion.
Here is the link to post up for reddit:
Subreddits to post to: r/audio r/audiophile r/hometheater r/budgetaudiophile
Thanks for the help.
Please let me know if you so that I can monitor it.

I made a post with your kickstarter link but then I found another that already had your kickstarter on it. I added a comment about the positive impressions found here and added another Kickstarter link. I’m still tying to get to grips with the structure. Right now it just looks like a confusing mess, but I’m hoping to get a bit more familiarity and begin to find my way round.

Basically each subreddit is like it's own separate forum.

Picked up the amps from AliT at the show yesterday and have them plugged in and playing in the main system. Took approx. 20 minutes for them to get going, but straight off very impressed with the sq. They are replacing Accustic Arts mono blocks, so not a very fair comparison. The Orchards give little away in the detail and tonality stakes, but there is obviously greater slam and presence with the Arts monos. In no rush to change back yet, but will have to since a fairer comparison with have to be made with my NVA A60 in the coming days.

I’m just wondering if you are able to predict a closer battle.

Never compared the A60's to the Art monos. The comparison between the A60 and Orchard monos is more difficult to predict since they will be played through NVA Cube 3's.

Bit of bad news. Plugged in the Orchard amps into my NVA system, they do work, but not enough volume using my P90sa. I guess the amps input don't have the sensitivity required for a passive pre. I have just seen Bigmans review on these amps on a different thread, (maybe I've posted in the wrong thread?) and he states these amps are lean and needed a different speaker cable in his system. I have to say we never felt that at all, just a bit more oooomph in the bass would have been good.

You need something with a low output impedance.

That's buggered it then, I don't have another pre. I was really looking forward to comparing but that's life. I'll get them packaged up and hopefully posted on Wednesday.

What's the input sensitivity of the Orchard amp?
I'm amazed that Biggie and macca's unity gain active stage has enough gain to be honest, as the Krell 50S macca has needs 1.3V for full output preamp which doesn't leave a huge margin imo. Old sources just won't have enough output and lord knows the mean output of yer average phono stage these days with sensible sensitivity for good high overload margin. My own active preamp offers up to 10V out from a 600 ohm source (5V into a 600 ohm load according to the incredibly good original manuals) and ,my power amps usually used have adjustable gain, the theory being to drive the preamp line stage hard down the pre-power interconnects and then set the gain at the power amp end, the pots here not really making any subjective difference (I thought I could hear between the original carbon ones compared to film replacements once on headphones, but it was a long time ago I did it).

What's the input sensitivity of the Orchard amp? For 150W into 8 ohm you need 5V input. For 4 ohm you can calculate accordingly.

So does that mean 2.5V for 75W? Forgive the possibly bad maths here. if so, then Biggie here didn't get anything like full output from his unity gain preamp when he tried it...
I'm sure you can buy inexpensive professional line buffers that could work, but my knowledge of the pro market is p***-poor and I can't make specific recommendations. If you were up to it, an old cylindical MF X-10D line buffer came up a treat with the Rock Grotto update kit, the thing all but losing completely the excess warmth and slight 'dirt' in the original (we sold loads with the infamous CD63-KI CD player which was brash and bright on its own). I say it as a future reference if anyone fancies a go with one of these...

I turned the volume knobs to full on my P90sa and you could hear it ok, but it was below what someone would listen to late at night. I have noticed that the volume has to be higher on the P90sa than on my previous P50 which I'm sure you will have some knowledge on Dave.
