I used to go to work with a watch on each wrist occasionally just for fun and nobody ever noticed.

Dug this out for today (fossil? Dug? Geddit??) If you're any sharper Roy, you'll cut yourself. Like the watch though.

I have two watches. This Seiko Titanium - Here
And my Omega Speedmaster - Here
I don’t feel the need for any more. Both were bought for special occasions. The Seiko was my 18th Birthday, and the Speedmaster was for my wedding.

I like that one as well. Simple, easy to read facia, I don't like ones with multiple dials.

Headed home early and just collected the Breitling. upload picI have the Professional II bracelet as well. It’s in very nice condition but I’m taking it to the jeweller I used to frequent and I’m having it polished back to new. I found the exact box for this model and year and it will arrive tomorrow. I’m well pleased to have it back.it was always my favourite.

I've never frequented a jewellers. Thinking about it I've only been in a jewellers once in my entire life. To buy a watch. Otherwise I've just never had the need.

It’s only been watches with me but I used to use this jeweller for servicing, polishing, new straps, removing links and even fitting batteries when I had quartz watches. Jewellers Guild in Morpeth. Great shop for watches.....and jewellery,

It’s a hard one. Two things kinda go against each other: No makers name suggests it’s a cheapie, but the word automatic suggests the opposite. Looking closer again, the name may even be photoshopped out?

Even a knock off automatic wouldn’t be beer money, so I will say £150

That's a nice looking one Roy. When I saw your Orient yesterday, it wetted my appetite to get myself a new watch, so searched the internet. I have short listed a few:- Orient Bambino Lacoste Emporio Armani Skagen All costing in the region of £100 My brother was surprised when I showed him the Orient, it is automatic, he thought I would go for a quartz, what do you think for a part time watch user. Also is the Forsining a good watch, could save me £80. His watch is a Raymond Weil by the way.

Have you ever had an Oceanaut, Roy? When I sold my Breitling, I bought one with an orange face. Of course, the quality couldn’t match what i had sold, but I thought it was a really nice watch, and better than most others I’d owned. I bought off the watch channel and it was on offer at £150. It looked and felt like at least double that.

The watch looked really nice on TV but I was surprised to find that it as just as good in the flesh. Most have Eta movements.

Don't they wonder about it going 'cuckoo'? That is almost French for “Hi”, so it could work well.

Also is the Forsining a good watch, could save me £80. His watch is a Raymond Weil by the way. Well I can't find fault with the Forsining but as far as reliability & longevity is concerned time will tell For a little more than £100 have a look at some of the Seikos available, I think they're a little classier than the Orients - this is a nice piece - www.creationwatches.com/products/seiko-mens-208/seiko-automatic-srpc22-srpc22j1-srpc22j-japan-made-mens-watch-15448.htmlDon't know whether I'd consider Lacoste or Armani, they're not watch makers as such so what you'll be getting is a cheap movement (probably similar to the one in the Forsining) with their name stamped on it. Thanks for the link Roy, the Seiko is a very nice watch, I'd just like a darker face since the cheaper one I have now has a white facia.

Today I’m looking for direction How’s that work? Outer dial spins? It’s an awesome idea for a watch,

I'm sure it's a nice watch, but for me, a simple clear facia is the most important, with no distractions.

I like lots of different styles. I do favour chunky over svelte though. Divers watches are a fave.

I've got a confession to make, I didn't purchase the Orient watch, I had decided it was the one for me but didn't pull the trigger. Went out this morning, looked in the windows of a couple of jewellers and then Beaverbrooks, saw a Tissot in the window, went in and tried it on. Really liked it but came home to check on price or if I still preferred it to the Orient. Been out again, (only live 10 mins walk from town centre) and brought this. www.beaverbrooks.co.uk/0109135/Tissot-PR100-Mens-Watch/pVery happy indeed.
