Different type of isolation but non the less irrelevant. shop.highend-audiopc.com/en/accessories/sotm-iso-cat6We could be trying one of these in the future, there are other makes offering cheaper offerings, so what do folks on here think. Where's the 'run for cover' emoji when it's needed.

It's a transformer in a box. Not saying it isn't worth a go but £350 is a bit pricey for what you're getting. I'd go for a cheaper one.
I'm forgetting that I did use to have a Belkin mains block that improved the sound. I never got to the bottom of that but with the pre-amp and cd player plugged into it there was a definite change for the better that I could identify blind. It was one of the old ones where they used to offer a million dollar guarantee if it failed to protect from surges.
Tried other Belkin blocks since, don't make any difference at all.

Didn’t Peter Belt have a degree and a career history in psychology? I’m sure he did.

He also made headphones.
I could only manage 25 minutes of Roy; he was getting on my wick. His presentation style was just too hectoring. I could hear differences, though. If I had been in the audience, I would have been looking to leave at the earliest opportunity.
Give me the bloke from Isoteck any day of the week. And they had better sound.
I could see some comparisons, but I'd say they were simply stating the rationale for their products and what they wanted to address. Neither would have me parting with cash purely on what they might have to say. It would all come down to what my ears heard.

Yes I agree about RG, he acts like he's doing the audience a favour in demonstrating this stuff when he actually has more important things to be getting on with. Isotek do have better sound but that could be the quality of the recording we are listening to, as opposed to the system the audience hear. What they say in their sales pitches - because lets not kid ourselves these are sales pitches and nothing else - and what we 'hear' are inextricably intertwined. They could just do the demonstration without all the 'hairs standing up' chat - because as you say people will buy if they hear an improvement, not on what the salesman says. It would make the presentation a lot shorter or allow time for more comparisons with different music. But they don't. In fact the majority of both presentations is them talking. Why do you think that is?
