This little amp has given me more listening pleasure than any other. It’s far from the most expensive or most powerful. Although I find it extremely pretty, it’s not got any fancy casework. It doesn’t even have convenience features such as remote control or onboard DAC. My older version doesn’t even have a phono stage,
What it does have is a way of bringing out the natural beauty of music in a way that satisfies me completely. It does so without any tonal colouration or emphasis of leading edges. It is also very benign in terms of its willingness to work with any source, cable or speakers.
They very rarely come up for sale but if you are in the market for an amp, I can’t think of one I’d recommend more.
The Sonneteer Campion has had such a positive effect on my listening pleasure, I couldn’t NOT put it in the Hall Of Fame.

Well it always looks good to me. Don't think I've ever heard one though.

It’s been such a sleeper for me. The things it gets right are subtle at first but they really grow. It’s not an impressive short demo amp. It’s like the softly spoken rather shy girl whom you only realise over time is actually incredibly beautiful. Then you wonder how you didn’t see it from the start. Hope that analogy makes some sense.
