I’m an HFS refugee, myself albeit via a long route. If anyone wants to come here to talk about hifi, let them come. If they want to come and talk about other forum personas or bring conflict here, we can’t accommodate that.
NVA discussion is certainly welcome, as is discussion of all and any hifi.

It's best to be a forum tart. Join the lot. Then if one forum gets a bit tedious/shouty/over-regulated, just slide over to one of the other half-dozen for a while. Of course, if you're a serial bannee this might be more tricky to manage.

Please keep discussion of other forum personas and their admin decisions where they belong.....on the forum concerned. Oliver and I are simply not interested in hosting it here.
The OP itself was questionable as it opened the door to further comment, but I left it because I wanted to reiterate that NVA discussion is welcome here, as is discussion of any gear. It doesn’t need or deserve special treatment or singling out, good or bad,.

And that’s what this forum is for. I got sick of being told it’s the music that matters, or having to wade through loads of other forum stuff. There’s a place for those things on other forums. This one is primarily for the gear. |

There never were I don't think. When I was at University '87-'90 only a handful of us had a separates system, and not anything fancy, either. One bloke did have an LP12 but he didn't bring it with him because he was worried about it getting nicked.

Any "refugee" from any forum will be welcome here if they join with the Intention of leaving any loyalty to a side in the epic "forum wars" 😄 and just want to talk about the stuff that plays their music, with like minded folk.
We have all (mostly) proved this by being here and generally coexisting with each other. I say generally because a lot of water has passed under multiple bridges and time to time a little flare up and division becomes apparent.
What I will say is this:
Andrew is spot on about our ethos for this forum. We will not be dragged into the depths of name calling or bad mouthing other forums members. If a topic on a forum is of interest, sure, we can have a chat about it but nothing is gained from a forum where the most popular topic of conversation is members of other forums. There's nothing to gain from that. Also, it just causes further bad feeling.
We are bridging the forum divide, slowly but Surely, and IF you can contribute to this forum with your knowledge of gear and experience, whatever brand it may be, you will always be welcome.
