Man, that’s hard. Only a bit older than me. I’ve lost lots of people, many close ones early in life, but only one cousin I barely knew took her own life, It makes you less charitable towards people who treat it like the world is ending when somebody criticises their hifi. Life is precious.

It's hard, we picture them laughing, the fun we had together......but alas we're not privy to their personal deamons, who knows the mental turmoil that they must have suffered to lead them to this ?

So sorry about your friend Jammy, suicide is not an easy thing to deal with.
I have known a few in my time, it always came out of the blue.

Sorry to hear your news, Jammy. It's about time our society realised the impact that depression and anxiety has on people and did more to help.

When you sink to the bottom, it's so damned easy as al inhibitions fade to nothing and all feeling for those that'd be left behind just disappear for a moment or more. Been there once, only for a very short time, but it's frightening nonetheless...
Any idea why he did this Jammy?

Thanks for your condolences lads......appreciated.
No idea Dave, he was full of life and joy on the outside, everyone here cant quite believe it.
It's nigh on impossible to help someone pauld if they dont open up to you or others. Like Robin Williams his persona was one of happiness and Joy who would have thought he was a manic depressive battling his own deamons.

You are absolutely right, Jammy but also our society still treats depression and anxiety as an after thought or taboo, when in fact it is exceedingly prevalent in the modern world and should be taken a lot more seriously. The argument that Suicide is a cowards way out is old school thinking and couldn't be further from the truth and quite frankly pisses me off that we live in a society where people get judged at that level, to have got to that stage must be unimaginable.

Would appear Keith Flint has taken his own life -very sad indeed. Apparently little like his 'stage' persona and seemingly plenty of work/tours available, it makes me wonder what his demons were to take this final tragic step.

I am looking forward to hearing 'Firestarter' as a tribute in the NVA room at the WW show.
