Went to B&Q for some kitchen bits. According to a certain web page they were open 10-4. But when i got there it was shut. So im like sat here wasting two days over a day that is made up..
I just cannot get to grips with all the insaine worshipping rubbish. What exactly are they worshipping & why, are they so crazy?

Went to B&Q for some kitchen bits. According to a certain web page they were open 10-4. But when i got there it was shut. So im like sat here wasting two days over a day that is made up.. I just cannot get to grips with all the insaine worshipping rubbish. What exactly are they worshipping & why, are they so crazy? What I really don’t get with Christianity is the role of clergy and churches. Why would God need an intermediary and why wouldn’t he be everywhere? |

Religion is the single largest cause of numerous war over the years. For what!
People there is nothing/No one there to Worship, just get on with your lives. Are you so weak & insecure you need a higher body to look up to & obey!! Insaine man.

I don't do shopping on Sundays, but if I needed to purchase something I would have certainly have thought it best to buy before Easter Sunday. Just the same as I won't be going and buying my Turkey on Christmas Day from M & S. |

I never doubted you Karney. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.  I really wish shops would close for one day a week, and not necessarily Sunday, since it seems to be a very popular day for shoppers. |

I can accept Jesus as a historical figure, prophet even. But the son of God getting killed? Why wouldn’t his dad just kick the Roman’s asses? This whole dying for our sins makes no sense If God is all powerful, he could just make humans who don’t sin, or just forgive anyone he wanted. If he created us in his image, does that mean he’s a sinner? If so, who forgives him?His God? Did he let his son die too? Etc etc etc.
It’s all bollocks. A God that is all good and all powerful couldn’t allow bad things to happen. It’s on a par with Santa and the tooth fairy.

If you actually read the bible you discover that at no point does Jesus claim to be the son of god. That was all stuff they made up later when they were refining the brand.
As for god not allowing bad things to happen, I think the idea is that god allows free will and also that he intends life to be a struggle. You can't develop spiritually without struggle. This is explained in the old testament, book of Job.

I think goldfish get a bad press.
I think they're way smarter than people give them credit for.
A couple's of weeks ago an old bloke (in his 70s) at an entertainment arcade was doing a goldfish regurgitation trick - and got arrested for cruelty. Surely, a vindication of the existence of God, if ever there was one.
That reminds me. When I was about 10 mine died. In my grief/God role play bid, I tried zapping it with the 12V transformer from my Scalextric.
Although I got it to flip about, bringing it back to this earthly realm was beyond me. Sadly, I had to face up to the reality, and it got flushed down the toilet.
