Just adding to this after a bit of a trawl through things to balance my speakers on like spikes and the rest and because I do not have the money to spend I came across some Aircraft Vibration Mounts which are spring based . I glued these to some granite coasters and the result was good enough for me to just stop and listen . This thread prompted me to consider a few things and have an excuse to spend very little money just to see what happens . A trawl through Ali Express turned up quite a few options all under £30 delivered . One option was four feet with sandwiches springs between two cups/playes . Similar things are sold by Nobsound in UK but more expensive . Well they arrived today and I was impressed at how solid and well made they were . Decided as it is probably my heaviest two components to put these under my Delius / Purcell units . These had previously had hard wood spikes under them point up . Replacement was easy back first the from two . Put some music on and the result is very nice and positive bigger sound stage and wider spread . This cost me less than £20 delivered and I am very impressed . No it is not going to blow you away with the change but it does refine the sound in a positive way . May well but another set to use on my NVA but suspect it may well be a bit light but no real down side at getting another set . Sorry Ali Express links do not seem to work here but they show up under the search Dave indicated earlier in the thread .

If you copy the link and paste in new tab they show up.
I've got a set of four, I would like to try under my amp, maybe will get round to it one day. Let us know your thoughts of how they perform under your dac Andrew.

Hi Dave I have to say that I am impressed with these little spring items and under the dCS pair which are really heavy they compress down to the gap level that is recommended between 1-3 mm . They also made a difference to the sound and in a very positive way . Nothing huge but just a sort of refinement . Soundstage is wider and deeper and there is a feeling ease about the music as if all the players have a little more time in which to play . Strange thing is that the positive effects improved over time as when I came back to listen to something later in the evening it sounded better than earlier in the day . This my be the mechanical version of burn in , or I may well be delusional either way any improvements are always welcome . I have found out that you can indeed alter the number of springs used and that for lighter items three is the advised number . So when the additional two sets arrive I am going to start with three and see if that is enough for my Amp .

My amp is heavier on the left hand side than the right due to all that iron. I have taken the middle spring out for use in the right hand side but i may take one or two extras out having seen the different set-ups posted by Newlash. I see you are also querying different weight, that is why I removed one spring from two of the feet, thinking it would keep the amp level.

I see them on the 'bay for £24.99 or £10 if the name Nobsound is not in the photo. Any experience that says these are the same item or a lesser copycat?

@brucew286 If the ones I am buying from Ali Express are anything to go by they are all made in the same factory then branded for the different sellers . So the cheaper ones will be fine . As I said I was quite surprised at how well made they were with nice solid alumunium tops and bottoms . Be warned though if you decide to change the spring numbers then open them in a confined sapce as the springs tend to spring everywhere .
