Yep, I must admit I find it much easier on the eye than white. I make far fewer typos this way as the glare is lower. I also love purple and I found the green and mustard a bit bland. Every forum seems to have a colour as it’s ID. I like Blue too, but the only nice blue skin here has been used by TAS already and I didn’t want us to be a clone or copycat. The other blue looks like Audio Talk/HFS. The other colours are YUK. Purple is more distinctive but harder to read, for me. The links in the footer (below the ads) are pretty much illegible - there may be an option to change the link colours, though. The previous scheme was easy to read but did remind me of a provincial bus livery... Oops I hadn’t spotted those.wil fix later. They need to be white text. I didn’t even know they were there, lol.

The site was inaccessible to me later yesterday evening. Did somebody forget to put a coin in the meter?

Good question in the newspaper this morning, who was the tallest, Winston Churchill or Adolf Hitler? Why not put down your guess before googling and I will give the answer later today.

They were both shorter than De Gaulle, but taller than Mussolini. Probably about the same height as Stalin.

Napoleon: Alexander the Great, five feet eight exactly. Isn't that incredible! I mean, Alexander the Great, who's empire stretched from India to Hungary, one inch shorter than me. Oliver Cromwell, the only man with any guts in British history, wasn't a big man at all. Louis XIV, five foot two and a half. Charlamagne, dopey little five footer! He's a good little chum. Attila the Hun, five foot one half. Cyrano de Bergerac, five foot three half. Tamburlaine the Great, four foot nine - and three-quarters.

Winston Churchill was 5'6",and Adolf Hitler 5'9" AH often looked shorter because he was surrounded by his bodyguards.

There's obviously nothing significant going on. The news channels are full of football reports.

I see some people think it is okay to watch it ironically now.
It isn't okay. It's tat tv. At least unlike in the old days there's another 70 channels to switch to. Or put some proper music on like I have.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s dire and pointless...much like the UK entry each year.

Boris would make a cracking Pope It would make a change from being a dope. I hope he gets the Tory leadership so he can finally wreck his political, career. He will crash and burn within weeks and won’t be able to get a Brexit deal.

Unfortunately, if he really cocks things up, which is quite on the cards. The Tories will be totally discredited, leaving us with the horrible possibilty of Corbyn as prime minister after the likely early general election. I wonder if there'd be any assassination attempts?

I’d love to be shot of Corbyn too. I’d also like to be shot of Brexit, but I’m asking a lot for Boris, Corbyn and Brexit to get flushed down the toilet. Two out of three might be possible though.

Well I don't agree with him either but it is his job to say these things, he wouldn't be much of a Pope if he kept his counsel to himself.
