In fairness most veggies and vegans don't preach, they just get on with it which is as it should be. Any fucker preaching to me about what's moral and what isn't will get short shrift though. Nothing worse than these types who think they are so perfect they have the right to judge or criticise other people's actions or decisions. They seem to be multiplying as well. And yet you criticise the BBC's decision to use female sports commentators to commentate on men playing football. I pay for it so I can say what I damn well please. Besides which that has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with knobends who have no common sense.

I just criticise the fact then BBC exists in its current form. Then licence fee should’ve been scrapped 15 years ago. I can see the point of the BBC before all the digital cannnels but now it’s just a rip off PITA.

How did we get onto this anyway?
If you are going to go veggie, and I don't advise it, protein is the main problem. Nuts, lentils, seeds, beans. That's about it. Three cupfulls of lentils a day would be enough to keep you going. If you are planning on doing some bodybuilding or something then you'll need a lot more.

Being from a farming family (on both sides) I have had to grow up with farm animals around. My great grandfather was a butcher also. I never liked the thought of them going away. My dad didn't like it either. As soon as my grandfather died my father got rid of all the animals and we never had any more apart from pets (including donkeys which lived to be in their late 30's).
I used to do a lot of gardening at the farm and was always digging up bones of various shapes and sizes. It was a bit freaky really and my dad told stories of what used to happen. My grand father was a cruel man (and a bit of a c**t so I have heard). He used to shoot poorly dogs for the villagers who could not afford vets fees. Tied them up to a tree and shot the poor buggers. Made my dad dig the holes and bury them.
No wonder my dad had had enough. I love animals but I know my body needs some meat every week. I don't enjoy eating it much but doing manual work I have to be strong and my body craves it if I go more than a week. I wont eat any meat that looks like an animal. Steak , ribs, burgers, chops even carved roasts make me want to hurl. Its fish fingers and mince for me and that's it.

I'm the same, tried vegetarianism for a three weeks, then started having dreams about eating steaks. Although for me it was just practical rather than ideological. I was living on take- aways and my bird was cooking veggie. She would eat meat but only a burger or something similar, nothing with a bone or anything that it would be an animal of some kind. And she would not cook or prepare meat. So it made sense to eat what she was eating. I couldn't hack it. The way I see it is that we are animals and most animals eat other animals. I can also look at it the other way and see the plate of ribs as revolting. It's all a state of mind.
