news.sky.com/story/cassette-tape-sales-hit-highest-level-since-2003-new-analysis-shows-12860610"Sales of cassette tapes have jumped from 3,283 in 2012 to more than 195,000 in 2022, with the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Harry Styles all releasing their music on the medium." Have to confess that I've always liked the sound of cassettes. I've even got a rather nice 3 head Denon player. Mind you, I've not used it in years. I took it along as part of my dem system at a Wigwam forum Scalford Show one year, it surprised more than a few folks how enjoyable it sounded.

Yeah i need to rebuild my cassette library (mostly 80s - 90s chart stuff) after dumping them in 2012, as came across my Sony TC-FX150 and serviced it around 18 months ago. Nowt in the charity shops except classical Des O'Connor & Max Bygraves though and not gonna pay ebay prices.

Nowt in the charity shops. Yup, I've done a lot of volunteer work in charity shops and we had to stop taking them as donations, cassettes just took up space and didn't sell at all.
