Yes, they are very nice amps if you can get away with 10wpc. Here's mine, had it for getting on for 2 years, I think.

It's a really good sounding amp - high levels of transparency, openness and resolution along with surprising grunt and control.
If you peruse Google Images or similar you'll find that someone has Photoshopped one of these Chinese JLH1969 amps with a Krell badge on the front. I'm sure it's not intended sarcastically - I can totally sympathise with the sentiment!
Mine comes out every now and then to strut its stuff and it's a very enjoyable listen. An amazing bargain at well under £200 imo.

Brilliant little amp. But that one you have there (with meters!) is a real looker imo. How would you say it compares with Amptastic's offerings SQ-wise?

I'd forgotten about that, what a nice chap I am. I think the "JLH1969" amp is a level or two up in musical sophistication compared to the very good Amptastic. It's got the same sort of (excellent) clarity but it somehow melds it into the musical acoustic more realistically. ... That sounds a bit pretentious, doesn't it! Tbh I suspect it's the difference between good class D and good class A. A direct comparison makes the class D sound a bit 'fake'.

Ah of course, the JLH is class A. The Amptastic is permanently on so that I can shout at Alexa for things without having to get off my backside to switch stuff on. So the JLH may not be a good substitute.

Yes, true. After a while the class A JLH1969 clone does get very warm. Not really what you want turned on 24/7 in these days of high energy prices. That little class D amp is ideal, and still sounds excellent in its own right.

Yes, the Krell badge made me smile.
I've had a couple of the "JLH1969" Chinese amps, and from memory they sounded quite different from each other.
The one in the Krell chassis (but without a Krell badge) really did have the control and sonic foundation of a baby Krell.
The one I still have, with meters and the cool red chassis and gold fascia is quite a different sounding wee beastie. More subtle and transparent, less beefy and taut.
I really enjoyed them both, and I'd probably buy another "baby Krell" version if one came along. I shouldn't have sold the one I had.
Happily, I bought both mine used from the UK, so I didn't get hammered with the postage cost.
