You've been hiding your light under a bushel. Audion are a make that I would have loved to own, especially this model, unfortunately my funds have gone elsewhere. Good luck with the sale.

This isn't mine, I'm selling it on behalf of Steve ('Pygmy Pony'). It's at my house for collection purposes though.

This amp has served me well, but I fancied a change of speakers and a reduced box count. So I bought something with a bit more welly (MF A5 integrated, 250wpc) for a really good price, with plans to get it a JS Audio upgrade. That would give more options speaker-wise. But for me the Audion beats it all day long.
So it has been sitting around for 18 months, which is a shame. And I need the funds to go towards my GetSteSomeNewSpeakers quest.

my spelling is usually rotten as well. Always used to get lines at school because of that. 'I must learn to use a dictionary' - and so forth.

I had my Musical Fidelity amps (xp100 pre and a3.2cr power) upgraded by JS Audio. The step up is impressive, you'll be amazed by the results. Out of curiosity, what sort of speakers are you looking for next?

Out of curiosity, what sort of speakers are you looking for next? Well, my current speakers are good 'uns, but are rather forward in the midrange, and it does my tinnitus no good. I'm considering some KEF R11s, which in the gloss black (just about) get approval from Mrs. Pony. The world of speakers would be wide open to me if I had carte blanche with the shape/colour, but as they will both be staring back at her while she's watching Corrie, she has the last word appearance-wise. I'm not expecting them to be necessarily better than my Zu Omen Defs, just different. Hopefully in a good way. Heartening to hear your comments on the JS Audio upgrades, it's almost certainly the way i'll go

So, someone who watches Corrie is criticising someone else's taste.

This thread is not the right place, so I shall start a thread to act as 'market research' to find out what people are looking for. I'd appreciate your comments and views on there. Let us know what you think of the JS upgrade if/when you do it.

So, someone who watches Corrie is criticising someone else's taste. I know, the irony! Even worse, she also watches Eastenders, where everyone just shouts at each other. Then complains that I play my records too loud. Anyway, Mrs. P goes away tomorrow until Friday, so i can play stuff as loud as I like. I'll show her I can look after myself. She's ironed all my work clothes and plated up and frozen a meal for me for each day, so independence will be a doddle

Let us know what you think of the JS upgrade if/when you do it. Well if the build quality and attention to detail come anywhere near your subwoofer build, I predict you will be a busy man! The 'perfect speaker' may be all things to all men, so probably best to work towards what you know and love, and go from there

Price reduction for the Audion - £900. I really need to be getting a replacement 2M Black stylus in the near future, and get this MF A5 upgraded.
Spoke on the phone with John Sampson of JS Audio last week, sounds like a very nice man, and the talk was very informative. He should be getting my custom in the new year, barring any financial crises.
Anyway, back to the Silver Night - I'll be at the WAM show and can bring it with me for anyone interested.
