Looks great, have you removed the IEC connector? Yes, as I wanted to crimp the wires together inside straight onto the incoming supply cable.

Oli, good to see that your experimenting, perhaps this could be a new bit of kit you sell? I'll be interested to hear your results.

The initial listening suggests I should have done this a long time ago. The PC-TRIPLE C is quite honestly magic. I've been doing some experiments of late and it involved a fair few cables. I'll write it all up, but yeah, I like this Shuko Box.

I did not think they were legal, as the don’t contain a fuse, which is required due to the use of a ring main in the U.K. The 32A fuse/breaker will not protect the power cord, where as in Europe, we don’t use ring mains, and have lower value breakers.

Apparently, you only have to fit a fuse if the connector/plug accepts one. That's what I'm told anyway. Maybe I misunderstood, but I'll double check. I strike the legality comment until confirmation is provided.

I think that you are ok with Schuko sockets on an extension lead, as long as the plug that fits into the wall confirms to BS standards, and has a fuse fitted.

It certainly doesn't look any posher than yours except they must have lined the inside of the case with pure gold.

It's crazy money. I'm shocked (pun intended) at the cost of these things.

It's crazy money. I'm shocked (pun intended) at the cost of these things. I'd assumed they would be three or four hundred, which is still a lot for a mains block, but this is the world of hi-fi. If you can offer one at a sensible price you should do it.
