Andrew is indeed a nice guy, very helpful.

Andrew is indeed a vent, very helpful. I do love me knobs andrew, those Copland's are well Twiddly. The CDA266 player also has two of the same knobs probably the best player I have owned, and far from the most expensive. Beaufifully made internally too.

Two from Yamaha but don't have images to share, so you'll need to look 'em up -
CR1000 receiver - smoothie sound too.
C1 preamp - a knob twiddler's dream and full of long obsolete transistors which sometimes need replacing apparently...

I’d own both of those just to look at and stroke occasionally

I have not a single knob on my main system. A couple of on/off switches and an eject button. That’s it. I do miss them...

Ahhhh that's better 👁️ 👁️
Sliders and switches are okay, but no substitute for a knob.

Well it's got knobs on it, so I suppose it's ok.
That DNM is very nice, lusted after one, but out of my price range at the time.

Oh yes indeedy
The sliders on the CR1000 were out of this world to operate and this era of Yamahas had the most gentle of flick-switches too. Later ones completely lost it (CR2010 and so on - nothing like the same!).

There is simply no excuse in these modern times for cheap knobs. And I'm not too keen on black knobs either.
