Using your ebay link, the price for 5m of cable is £200 delivered, coming out to £40/meter.
Using your Zenmarket link, the raw price is £26/meter but when you add fees and shipping for 3KG, the estimated total is 31,190 JPY, and Wise.com says that will be £203.21. Even if 5M turned out to be shockingly light, the cost would only drop a total of £10.
Sorry you can't enter 5m any more because I bought the last one. But starting at 4m (making a 2m pair) the price drops to around £40/m.
Well the 3 day shipping on 4m of (heavier) cable with the FEDEX Express option was 2,965 JPY for me, so I think you may be somewhat overestimating the shipping cost there somehow. I think they are quite generous with their weight limits and will allow a bit here or there. As mentioned I have also paid customs charges on items I've bought through ebay but not a single one via Zenmarket so overall (for me at least) it has worked out a lot cheaper each time however obviously I cannot guarantee you will get either the low shipping price or no fees so it might be the safer option for you. So in summery for me to buy from ebay would have been just under £200 (plus possible further charges) but I paid around £160 including 3 day delivery and no charges buying from Zenmarket. The savings on the SAEC interconnects are even more buying direct too. Interesting. I estimated using the OCC power cable using 4.5mm2 wire... doh! That's not just bigger wire but 3 wires rather than 2 and quite thick outer insulation. Ah well, my best guess on weight apparently wasn't my best!

Not to worry Bruce, it's not a massive difference and sounds like you've pulled the trigger now anyway so just look forward to the comparison. For the leap in performance they brought I would happily have paid 2 or 3 times the cost I did for the Acoustic Revive . . . maybe more.

So, just to check, as I am doing my first order, you order your item, then put money into the account to cover the cost. Then shipping is worked out and you put more into the account? Is that it? And which way best to pay from debit card, PayPal, see all have 3.5% charge. Do they bank then charge for converting your money to Yen? Alliexpress is really easy compared to this. Just got some RCA plugs from them this morning. 5 days from China. Just need to get the wire for them now!!

Yup, can take a few days to move from their stock to the shipping warehouse (once you've purchased the trem), but once it's there it does start to move more quickly. When it reaches the warehouse you 'create a parcel' where you can specify the service you require. I've gone Fedex Express every time so far and it's gotten here within 3 days of the order being created. 3000 jpy has covered the SAEC 1.8m cables each time so far as well as some heavier speaker cables. It is more complicated than other sites but also a lot cheaper for some products, so worth persevering. 4 days on Ali Express, that's amazing. usually takes a week sometimes two for me!

Don't forget, you aren't "buying" from Zenmarket. You are getting someone in Japan to buy it on your behalf, then they are shipping it out to you. Its a bit long winded but once you've done it a few times it feels a lot more normal.

Has anybody seen/tried the Furutech μ-P2.1? PC-Triple C bulk balanced cable. No need to buy a pre-made cable and chop the plugs off. It seems to sell for about €60 per meter. Just thought I would let you know about another option, as there are 11 months left before I spend money on HiFi…. Look here….

Yeah, they have used that alpha tech on it, but I have no idea what that means and therefore can't see a reason to spend £60 a meter on the stuff.

I had read somewhere it was PCCCC, but obviously that was wrong. I should have checked the small print.

Just made my first purchase on Zen Market PC Triple C Cable. All seemed to go well putting funds in account. Looking forward to it arriving and making up cables with newly purchased RCA plugs from Aliexpress.

Once I realised that I was not buying it from them, but they were buying on my behalf and arranging dispatch to me in UK it all made sense, think I was a bit slow on that. Will be looking to buy some SPC 850 next, once I have worked out how much I need, after reorganising my room. Brilliant help and support from all on here

Why complete a screw or crimp join with speaker cables, rather than solder? Just wondering.

Why complete a screw or crimp join with speaker cables, rather than solder? Just wondering. It can cause distortion due to the relatively high current, IIRC. May be a bit OTT, but I've followed it since I learned it.

Still waiting for my first Zen market item. It is sitting in the warehouse with a message to say it has been packaged for a day. I have not had an email about paying for sending it to me, do I just wait or is there something on the site I have to do to pay for Fedex, I have worked out how much it will cost. First time is always the hardest!
