Actually Alan, Ignore me for a minute, I need to slow down and not message full of festive cheer and 5 or so glasses of sparkling Shiraz  I'm going to get a listen of the Emerald Simon is currently building, when it's done, and see how that goes first  |

Just finished that Emerald, sounding very good. Cart loading is just on press fit headers at the moment I'll add another set of sockets this weekend.
It's sounding pretty good for a one box unit.

If I’m reading this right you have a Cadenza Black cartridge is that right?
For me you are unlikely to get the best out of it looking at stages in this price range.
If you want SS and you want the best from your Ortofon then save up some more money and get sq225917 to build you a Paradise. You won’t regret it and it will get the very best from your Cadenza. An sq225917 built Paradise is a thing of beauty and a simply amazing SS phono stage.
