No point in starting another cable debate, but with spdif i suspect the quality of the terminals and termination will have a far bigger impact on the wave form than changes between different types of 75 ohm cable. You might see improvements if you removed all the connectors and hard wire the spdif cable. Hard wiring would be an interesting experiment. I made an RCA to BNC cable out of the Belden stuff but just using the exposed copper conductor instead of a BNC 'pin'. I honestly thought it sounded really good but didn't want to damage the center BNC 'female' part at the BNC receiver end. I should try and make another I guess and try it out. Obviously oxidisation could play a part after some time. If you could grind down the pure copper conductor and shape it to sit perfectly in the BNC receiver unexposed, I'd imagine it could work . . . .

That's exactly how the cheap and cheerful F type connectors are formed. Used on the back of satellite receivers and the like, the outer braiding if folded back over the cable outer then the 'body' of the connector is screwed on over the braid. The inner conductor is formed so it sticks out as the centre pin.
Horrid things F types.
Satellite cable is 75 ohm impedance.

Any updates from what has been recommended for use as a coaxil cable. Its just that we could be looking for a BNC to BNC cable in the near future.

You can get it finished from Gothic Audio or DIY from MCRU, though Gothic's price is not much more than doing it yourself.

I have some of this in AES and it's not done anything that has made me think of removing it.

Thanks, George on the Wam gave Gothic Audio cables a good review, although I suppose technically Harmonic Tech is not his cable, but it does look a good price fitted with Aeco BNC's

Spdif isn't magic it's just a signal that switches between two fixed voltage levels within a specified period. Reflections blur the eye pattern, each reflection is further attenuated from the signal ad infinitum.
With a Sh#t receiver, everything matters, with a good one almost nothing matters. Just buy good stuff...
