Separate mains is effectively what I have for the system. When the extension was built I asked for a dedicated ring to the corner of the listening room.

Is WAF a consideration, or not? Certainly not. My man cave is MY space, WAF is not a problem.

I too have a seperate mains ring and then mains conditioner and then decent cables. Schucko plugs could be another level of upgrade but just how far do you go?

I can't say because I never had the system set up in this house before that.

I have the system at home on one fully sperated main ring and the other on the house ring to demonstarte the effect a good switchess deciated consumer unit has with 6mm T&E easy swap over to demonstrate. They only difference is that the earth ' rod' is actually a 18 foot sqaure of 4 inch copper tubing, buried about 10 feet down, cover with builders sand about 3 tonnes, then a few big lorry loads of hard core various grades, more sand this time shrape. Then smaller hard core and 18 inches of screed. With quality cable going to the seperate CU in the roof.
Its one of the more effective less outlay options you can perform I feel.
