Hello everyone!
Been a lurker for some time here and about time a proper introduction is in place. Found about the forum from my IG pal Karl (bigbird) here. He is the one who also introduced me to Oliver, which led me to a blind purchase of the beloved BB3 phono stage. Which was a jackpot by the way. Transformed my setup in a positive way but also opened my eyes to smaller shops and made me look beyond big brands.
Been exploring the hifi hobby for probably 20 years. Back then, I was heavy in home theatre for about ten years and after that dedicated hifi only. Avid record collector, especially jazz in various styles. Been building my system for some years now and I'm finally seeing the end of the tunnel. Besides that, I'm a father of two, one is seven years old and one soon to be two years old. Writing from Sweden but I'm originally from Bosnia.
Hoping to learn a thing or two but also thinking of dipping my toes into digital realm, which will result in separate thread when budget allows of course. I spend some time on Instagram where I post records, if one is interested I added a link in my profile.
See you around.
/Damir

Hi Damir and a warm welcome.
Yes indeed, the BB3 is an excellent piece of kit by all accounts and yes, if produced by a name manufacturer would likely cost x-times more - that's one of the many good things about a forum like this - enjoy.

Hej och valkommen Well… I did spend 16 years working for a Swedish company but that is the limit of my language. Apart from Takk. Very polite people. You are most welcome here.

Hello jazzcat ! Really nice to see you here, Damir. Yes, Instagram has been a fantastic tool for connectivity, and it's all thanks to Karl! For those who love a bit of hifi porn, it really does have a wide range of audiophile systems to admire. Feel free to dive in and post away. Jazz is something new to me, but I'm finding material I like and I'm adding it to the collection slowly. Oliver.

Welcome Jazzcat, you've certainly come to the right forum, I'm on it , so you'll certainly learn a thing or two. Another (damn ) owner of the BB3, before long you'll have to be an owner to be a member on here. Looking forward to your posts and how things are done in Sweden, will catch up with your link later.

Välkommen från en svensktalande finne! (welcome from a swedish talking Finn)! You'll enjoy it here but beware, if you've got the bug (and you seem to.. it might lead to some new purchases. I have learned quite a few things from this forum. What I appreciate the most is that I can get as nerdy as I want and never feel out of place in here . Oh, and count me as well as an avid Jazz lover! /Karl

'Nerdy' speak for yourself zleepy Have to admit though, some of these diy'ers can go over board at times , but I guess they may hit the jackpot with one or two of their ideas.

I haven’t done any tweaks besides adding the Hr Power Supply and Orbe Clamp Kit but but I have ordered Pete’s Pylons and Pete’s Pads last week. Super excited about those, especially pylons. Read many positive reviews and kinda hard to believe, so I decided to see for myself what’s the all fuss about.

Good on ya I was part of the team that worked with Pete on his tweaks (as a guinea pig - my Orbe has all the mods) so well done and enjoy !!

Nice I will definitely write few words about the pylons and pads when everything settles in. My SME tonearm should be back from the service in a week or two and by that time the tweaks should be here as well. Fun times ahead.

Hi Damir,
Apologies must have missed you first time around!
I've enjoyed your musings and input on various forums when I was a lurker myself so great to have you on board anyway!
Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome Funny you mentioned Moonriver. They or he is based in my town (Malmö, Southern Sweden). He is from Greece and it was until just recently one man shop. I think he has employed one more to help. The orders have skyrocketed after few HiFi shows and good reviews. I haven’t listened to one yet but I love stories like his. I wish him all the success.
