elling my Koetsu Black Goldline with 137 hours on it, bought ex-dem with 100 hrs on it in mid July and have logged 37 hours myself. Demounted it mid August and replaced it with a Koetsu RSP, it's been sat on the side ever since.* I was going to keep it as a spare*but with one of my 989s going down AGAIN, I've come to the end of my tether with them so need to raise funds for replacement speakers as I'm not putting another penny into the 989s. £1150 OVNO Delivered. This is a totally original cart NOT a rebuild/retip

To be upfront I won't be buying this, but would be very interested in a description of the sound if you are willing, it may help prospective buyers too. 🙂

Okay I will, try and describe it in terms people will understand/can relate to. Whilst it doesn't have the wonderful lushness and ease of the Urushi models and up, it does give a very good rendition of the Koetsu family flavour. It's nicely open and detailed but without being 'hifi' sounding, there's a good level of richness to the sound but it's not stoggy of boring. Definitely not a pipe and slippers cart as there's a touch of boistrousness to the sound, the BGL is the new money on the block whereas the Urushi etc are the old money crowd if that makes sense. It's a cart that does beauty and subtlety but is also happy to rock out. At the end of the day it made the Hana ML that I had on previously sound grey and boring in comparison.
