That listing has ended, don't know whether anyone purchased it, but it is something else to confuse me when I thought the Mutec converted from usb to whichever output you fancied on its rear.

You're in the big leagues with that, I'd be interested in how the Halo Spring compared with your Soekris, pleased the Mutec is doing the business for you It compared well. The Holo had more depth of detail surprisingly, perhaps a richer tonality too. It also exhibited a level beyond that of the Soekris In terms of layering. That was the one area that really stood out. The rain falling throughout "Riders on the storm" was evidentially separate from the song, but it kind of just blended in with the Soekris. The Soekris costing 1/3 of the price, was not at all embarrassed....just lost out in the last echelon of performance. The Holo was excellent, but not far enough away for me to drop £3k on one....yet A revisit will happen when Alan has put 1000 hours on it. |

I consider myself to be a skeptic about digital tweaks but the improvement in sound quality by inserting firebottle's MC-3+ between my transport and DAC was discernable quite easily. I've placed an order for one already.

I consider myself to be a skeptic about digital tweaks but the improvement in sound quality by inserting firebottle's MC-3+ between my transport and DAC was discernable quite easily. I've placed an order for one already. Alan brought his Mutec around today and seeing how the only difference between the two was the power supply, you'd have thought it was a different bloody model! The difference was not subtle and I am now feeling a lot of urgency to get the ps in mine changed. Fantastic devices. |

The new and improved sparkly ultra go faster stripe is only fitted after the inetrnals are upgraded  |
