This is what happens when you're in a hurry to try a new cartridge 😂 Fiddly enough without having to do it twice!

I was going to say well just become left handed but I actually did a similar thing a while ago which got me thinking. (Never good . . . ) I then removed the finger lift all together and just grab it on both sides because in a weird OCD part of my mind that finger left is skewing the gently weighted balance of the cartridge and the head-shell to one side by 0.002% . . . If the option is there I actually always have the lift removed now . . . . I quite like the look of it too . . . . Here she is!

you need to get out more 🤣🤣🤣 Am I right? Yep, you is. It's an 82hr retipped by David Griffin Black Goldline. And is the exact same bloody cart that started me down the Koetsu rabbit hole.

No Brooks, he started the whole bloody Koetsu shenanigans down here. Want to here another FFS.
The cart Brook replaced it with is an 0 hrs and I mean 0 hours retipped by DG, Urushi Vermillion, which he bought from me and had retipped. I'd bought it end of July as a NOS cart, and he and Robin (wizmax) were present when I fitted it. I selected the 1st record (Tracey Chapman) and sat back to listen in rapture, However after 10 seconds of the most disgusting noise, the arm gently slid across the record. YEP, a cart I'd shelled out £3k for (rrp £4998) had shed its stylus and I wasn't a happy bunny. I knew I'd been very careful fitting it, anyway following it's return various emails back and forth and subsequent inspection by Absolute Sounds. What a bunch of shysters they are at AS, who deemed it my fault saying it was due to an accidental knock and would take 8-10weeks and cost £2585 for a retip at Koetsu. Anyway every cloud has a silver lining, I sent the full email correspondence string along with a claim on my contents insurance for accidental damage. 1 week later they agreed to pay out for the retip less £100 excess and I got a cheque for £2485 and promptly sold the cart to Brook as I had bought the RSP (600 hrs) in the meantime for £1501 (rrp £5.8k).

Well thats terrifying! lol Some serious sums of money there and that could have gone horribly wrong! Glad it worked out.

Pleased it worked out for you Lurch, in fairness I fell sorry for the insurance company ( but only a little bit ) since it was Absolute Sounds who should have replaced it or simply refunded your money. I can also vouch for AS mas being shysters although I would have put it more strongly.
