Looks like I will be the proud owner of a Phonomac fettled SP 10 in the near future. Have also sourced a piece of Panzerholtz for the plinth. Just have to decide which arm to fit- an Angus fettled atp-12t or Terminator T3pro.
Only other thing I need are feet, what are peeps using?

Well done, I'm sure you will enjoy it, when you mention the Terminator arm, has that been fettled by Angus also?

No, it's an arm I bought some time ago, just been sitting on the shelf. I intended it for a new old stock 401 which I need to service as it's never been touched, so whatever doesn't go on the 10 will go on that.

Well done! You won’t regret it. I’ve added some Quadraspire feet to the ones that Angus usually fits. They let the spike sit on disc that itself rests on a sorbothane pad and surrounded by a sorbothane washer.

I have been intending to put large RDC cones on mine for ages and haven't got to it, but I reckon it's a winner. Have a chat with Angus about an AT1010 MK7 It's recently dispatched a SME V from one of his customers and it's so good, there is a commercially aimed one being made by a third party. Other than that, well done and welcome to the land of Direct Drive

Cheers chaps, I'll speak to Angus. The modifications Angus does to the standard AT1010 was experimented and refined using his SP10. As you know, i have been using an SP10 MK2 and PMAT1010 for the last 3 years i think. Nothing i have has lasted as long in my system. With a Windfeld on that combo, my head fell off. Still recovering. Oh, try and get a Tenuto Platter Mat on it. Transformative and highly recommended. phonomac is a member here now, i believe.

Welcome to the SP10 club, one of the best decks ever in my view and experience and if Angus has had his hands on it then even better, it will work properly and as it should - well done.

I was only joking Ali, but in all honesty I was unsure whether the message was concerning the plinth or the arm

Hope so mate. Will most likely go with the Terminator as the ATP-12T would limit me to carts that suit it, so it'll go on my NOS 401 when I get that sorted. I have a Silver Meister and also a C4E which will go to John Wright for refurb. They should sound great on the Garrard.

Linear tracking rules as far as I'm concerned.
Terminator on a Technics SL1200 was stunning so should be even better on an SP10

What are your plans for the panzerholz Ali? Any hidden cut outs, bit of super low viscosity poured silicon on the underside?

Let's you suck out vibration by applying different levels of damping at specific locations. For example you could route out an inverted trough between where the motor and arm mounts and fill it with squidgy.

The stranger returns, sorry Ali returns with a pathetic excuse of 'I'm a busy man', but if he had said Angus hasn't finished the plinth we would have all understood. Let's hope Angus doesn't keep us waiting, I'm looking forward to your thoughts Ali.
