Hi all
Need to redo the tonearm cable in my wooden 12 inch arm. Looking for good quality cable (at least 1.5 metres) and tags plus something to wrap it in once it leaves the end of the base. Also will need some good RCA sockets.
Can anyone help?
Cheers

When I look at the usual sites, all I can find are kits up to 400mm. I'm looking for something that has the cable at around 1.5mm so I can wire from the head of the tonearm to the base of the tube the cables pop out then sheath the rest and at the other end fit phono cables so I can plug directly in to the phono amp. So, either recommendations on where to get everything or if you know someone that can make one for me

I didn't realise it would be that difficult to get what you wanted, surely the way you are doing it is the best, guess it's because the wires are so delicate. Are you sorted regarding RCA plugs, if that's the way you are going?

I suppose most arms terminate with a connector at the base, while the arm I want to rewire does not and I want to have the cable with no joins etc. Sorted with nothing yet - will start looking to see what I can get - in the mean time I think I will need to dig out an old arm (RB300) and make an arm board for that so at least I can use the new motor unit!
