HI all,
I have a soft spot for a bit of Led Zep, but my reluctance to buy any of their LP's as been A) the cost of good original pressings and B) the only reissues i have heard where the Plant or Page remasters, which are frankly utter Sh#t.
Opinions are very welcome

I I've got an early eighties pressing, it's okay.
II Is a 1971 re-press sounds excellent
III I've got original UK pressing - also excellent. I bought the record without a sleeve but I knew a bloke who knew a bloke at Atlantic and he got me a mint sleeve for it, full gatefold with the swirly wheel.
IV Late 1970s re-press, nothing wrong with it. Someone spilt beer on that at a party in 1991 so I didn't get to play it again until I got an RCM in about 2011.
Haven't got Houses Of The Holy at all.
My Phys Graff is original UK press, same for In Through The Out Door and Presence.
I reckon the earlier the better on the whole. But decent first pressings are silly money.

The 80s reissues I have sound great, my original plums are a bit worn ;0), but still edge the reissues with dynamics
