Being quite sad here but quite relevant this is where I can genuinely 'see' the dynamic impedance issues with any connector, and the amount of reflections each connector produces. A vector network analyser is your friend here, and every plug delivers a different result.
Frequencies play a large part in this away as the amount of data being transferred. and as Oli has intimated not all connectors are created equal

Iam running pout of time at my place of employment to keep trawing through but i will look toomorrow for the email i sent to Angus with them on. Defo just two wires protruding from the rear to solder to. I wasn't keen on them at that point but i do believe they are highly likely to be OCC as it was very little by way of actual copper. I think they called it V-CAP OCC....no idea WTF that is lol

When I received my RAMM RCA plugs, I was kind of disappointed, as they looked like the cheap brass plugs where you have to solder the -ve cable to the body. Well tonight I actually took them apart to make up my cable, and they have two small “wells” in the centre of the pin, separated by an insulating shield. Well thought out. I have soldered them onto my Neotech cable, and I have no complaints. They seem to do the job nicely, but it is worth noting that half of the -ve contact that you would normally get with a standard type of plug has been replaced with plastic.
Another nice touch is that they have directional arrows on the plug bodies. I am happy with them so far.

Just had a look on the RAMM site, I like the look of their RCA's, $144 is a little more than what I wanted to pay, which would have been the plugs I would have wanted.

Your dead right Macca, good thing I started this thread otherwise we'd all be in the dark regarding RCA must have's. I thought it time to look back at the suggestions and try and give my favourite in the value for money stakes, and this is one one I should really buy, without going 'over the top' I did email this company and received a reply from GIGI who confirmed they were made out of Red Copper, do you agree or do you have a different choice to me. www.aliexpress.com/item/32895198984.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.38ce2e0eQGw9UN
