I have for sale a pair (2) of Neurochrome Modulus-86 monoblock amplifers. For all those who have speakers of at least 86dB sensitivity and looking for a neutral, but natural sounding amplifier, look no further. I bought these amplifiers earlier this year, ready built, and I am selling them to help fund my build of a bigger, more powerful version of this amplifier. Each monoblock consist of 160 VA (230V)transformer, made to the original builders specifications. Each power supply board consist of 4x10000 uF 50V Nichicon capacitors and dual rectifier fast recovery diodes. For wiring speaker lines, Jantzen solid core wire was used. For power indication, a 2 mm green LED is neatly recessed in the front panel. The mains switch, installed on the back panel of the amplifier is rated 15A. The XLR input connector are gold plated Neutrik sockets. Dimensions of each monoblock are: 22x27x7 cm (WxDXH). Both monoblock amplifiers are in perfect operating condition. They are rated at 40W into 8 ohms, and 70W into 4 ohms, with extremely low distortion levels. You can read a lot more information about this amplifier here, together with all measurements: neurochrome.com/products/modulus-86I am after €560 for the pair + postage. Please note, no power leads will be provided with the amplifiers.

Bigboy won't be done for at least another month. I need to wait for the ISS. I have decided to go with the ISS V2 from Tom.
Back to an Alpha 10P for me then...

I'll be honest I've been reading about these since you posted about the various models on Aos and elsewhere. Electronic numpty so would burn the house down trying to build these They'll be put to use with a DCB1 preamp that I managed to get hold of earlier this year fed by a Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro via HQPlayer from my dedicated PC. All this feeds some Wilmslow Audio Gemini Speakers with external crossovers - linked up with some SpotFire speaker cables. They'll be replacing a Pass Labs Aleph 3 Clone that I've had for a year or so.

Electronic numpty so would burn the house down trying to build these . 🤣🤣🤣 All I need for the brigade to come out is a soldering iron.... Well the only thing I've balked at so far is building some sort of power amp, valve or ss. I did seriously consider building a 686 but the cost put me off (for now). Maybe in a year or so.

I started building the various bits up for it, a bit at a time. Then I suddenly find myself not far from the finished article. I just need the case and mounting hardware.

I sold them for what I paid for them. I believe in passing a good deal on.
