Someone else here who's lazy with money, not so easy to come by, easy go.  I no longer use a credit card, but when I did always paid off at the end of the month. Ebay is my biggest downfall, although I do try to resist. Pleased I never went on the internet when I had a full time job. |

I got rid of my credit card when I got to the position where I no longer needed credit and could pay cash for stuff (ofc). After 2008 crash they cut my limit from £13K to a grand so I couldn't even use it to book a decent holiday which was the only thing I was using it for anyway. Apart from buying a few (ahem) bits of hi-fi kit off of eBay and the forums just because I had always fancied a go on them I never buy stuff just for the sake of it.
I have a mate who will go on Amazon when bored and actively look for things to spend money on. Never understood that mentality. He earns about twice what I do and is always complaining he is broke!

i have used only credit cards for the last 30 years.
never used a debit card...1 percent cash back each year..ofc always paid off in full every month.
why not use someone elses money and even make money doing it..
oh and free insurance on all purchases...win win win..AS LONG AS U PAY IT OFF FFS

ok we got our yearly tax papers yesterday
i earnt 41k last year
the wife earnt 62k
she has to pay 460 quid tax
i get 460 quid tax rebate..so being mortgage free aint too bad..we have no extra tax to pay
about 120k last year between us with my private jobs..not a bad yearly income aye with zero debts...ffs rolling in it we are..
lambo in a few years time...watch this space

You can't beat being debt and mortgage free. I still get a rosy glow off of being mortgage free even six months on.

Still hard to get my head around it when I look at my house and think I own it, lock stock and barrel. Never thought I would own a house. It isn't much of a house but it is sufficient for my needs. i.e it has a decent size room for the hi-fi. |

Started out with the shirt on my back and a hundred quid. Renting a box room in a run down house. No job, no prospects.
Had a few lucky breaks on the way, a few bad ones too but you've got to roll with the punches because they're always going to come. But mainly down to getting out of bed every day and going to work whether I wanted to or not for twenty-five years. Sometimes to really Sh#t jobs. And not wasting money on tat or spending money I didn't have.
If there was a shortcut I didn't find it. And believe me I tried. I tried everything!

wife has earnt almost 6 grand this month
i have earnt earnt about 5k
no bills this month..well 500 quid lol..should save over 5 grand this month alone..

can buy almost anything i desire when i want..
will book a holiday to hawaii over xmas i think for me and me lad.
start looking at brand new camaro's soon..45k there..easy for us 45k lol..blink of an eye it'll be there in the savings account.
me lad is 15 in 2 weeks time..at last he'll get to ride and drive his car...20 grands worth of car and moped he has ready to go..

me lad has done all the online studying he needed to get to the theory part of his moped license. he passed al the questions after about 50 hours of work today
we booked in for his theory test on his birthday on the 29th at 1.15 pm..if he passes then he's ready to drive his car and moped soon as he passes.
600 quid this license has cost us..20 grand for the car n bike..1000 quid for the helmet.
22k in total ffs
