Yeah she's not a legend for nothing. I've listened to that album three times today and even though i have it on Digital HiRes, it's not a patch on this pressing. It's worth the £30 alone. If you want an example of a female singing in a decent range without screaming some of it out, this is the vocalist for me. Her and Etta James...she could sing too!

Aretha Franklin will always be the one for me. See if you can get 'Soul '69', that's a great album. Probably available on streaming.

Top man, great spotting Macca. I have left a message to see if a swap can be done.

The one I was disappointed in missing was the Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Still.. hey ho, plenty to explore and discover. Made me think about some of the other jazz albums I have that I’ve never really touched. Tucked away with classical and compilations. So then this turned up and I thought.. bloody hell, I had it all along. But no. It’s not the same album. Is the pic on the Ella and Louis album a photo? Because this is a picture of a painting of the picture. On the up side it’s George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. If I can get all my DIY jobs done in this next lockdown I’ll have time to explore more jazz!

Thanks for the heads up on this deal! I got my order last week and here's what I got:
Bill Evans Trio 64 Duke Ellington Money Jungle Louis Armstrong plays W.C. Handy Charlie Haden Liberation Music Orchestra Wayne Shorter Speak no evil Art Blakey and the jazz messengers Drum suite Cannonball Adderley Sometnin' else Getz/Gilberto feat Antonio Carlos Jobim Dexter Gordon GO Eric Dolphy Out to Lunch!
I find the quality of the pressings are really good and they sound great! For that price a no brainer. I'm not super keen on several of the records but I thought it's always good to try to broaden the horizon a bit. I do miss the Ella & Louis album that many got though.
All in all, very pleased!

Got mine today , very quick. Looks like a combination of what others haev so all good.
It means I now have a spare copy of Eric Dolphy's Out for Lunch. Anyone want to swap it for something they don't want?
Cheers
