Some of you know and like this brand I gather, so it'll be interesting to see how this business grows now with that kind of investment.

I wonder how they'll replace that 1:1 experience of dealing directly with the designer?

Kralk is located two miles from where I live! I've still not heard anything from them!

His first little bookshelf speakers were fantastic, saw and heard them at a show, so good did they sound with a Sansui amp we went back to that room 3 or 4 times. I could kick myself for not buying a pair, I think the show offer price was £250

Pretty sure the original Kralk guy lost the name during the recent acrimony his brand was involved in. Might be wrong but would be nice to know.

"Alchris" That's the name of the guys new company, after losing the name rights i believe. Sad state of affairs as he was building a good rep. Hope he picks up where he left off. This is a pair he's just delivered to a customer of mine....they look "inspired"

They look excellent, I sincerely hope his new venture takes off, after being 'f----d' around, he seemed like like a nice bloke when I met him at a show.

My guy with the pair above says he's a top banana. It's a shame as from what I was told he got properly shafted. New investers in his brand literally tied down the name to them etc then wanted him to cut all the cost of building the speakers he was making. Typical and repeatable experience in this game. Hence my resistance to any investment offers....and I've received a few. Stay small, own it all.

Alan has recently made some speakers for a mate of mine and he really rates them. Previously he upgraded and rebuilt his Naim SBLs with a completely redesigned crossover. The quality of his work was and is superb.

Shame he's not on here TBF, he could have some free "independent trader" space. It's been very useful for me.

Alan renovated a pair of naim SBLs for me al few years ago. Pete came over for a listen. This week I picked up a pair of Alchris Woodland Concerto which were custom built by Alan.
They are without doubt the best speakers I have ever heard bar none.
Ignore Kralk Audio it's nothing to do with Alan anymore. Alchris Audio is where it's at.

this is the only one of his that I have heard at the Cranage show a few years ago. Even though they were held back by the EAR integrated amp that was in use still sounded good, IIRC they were on offer at a grand including the bespoke stands,

He has certainly done very well in getting all those speakers designed and getting the business up and running again, good luck to him.

They are amazing vfm. Of course as far as I know he sells direct which means a home demo can't be arranged . Always a bit if a gamble if they don't suit
I am trying some lovely standmounts at the moment and so good to be able to try them in your own room

You can always arrange to go and listen before you buy, do direct selling rules not apply to him?
