Celebrating (amongst other things) my wife’s 60th last weekend we spent a long weekend in Shrewsbury. Only spitting distance from us, but wanted a get away from it Airbnb without getting too far away from it. Stumbled across a brilliant record shop on the balcony level of the market. Really good prices (unlike many inflated ones around), great quality and a surprising breadth of choice. www.whiterabbitrecords.co.uk/Shut Sunday’s, Monday’s and Thursday afternoons

I have bought some good stuff there Steve, nice friendly place.
Another outlet I discovered for vinyl was on Cannock market. There were 2 stalls with a massive selection of vinyl going for peanuts. I bought piles of LPs in great condition and there were some really amazing finds. However this was about 5 years ago and probably before things really took off with the 'vinyl revival'.
I used to go to a small shop in Keswick every year when I visited for a break and each year the prices went up. They are now eye watering and a total rip off.
Nice to see that there are still place like the Shrewsbury business that are still reasonable and fair priced.

Double bonus in Shrewsbury being the excellent food stalls..especially the fish one. Brilliant Bouillabaisse By the way Jim.. waiting for my vinyl copy of Montage by Merganzer to arrive. Excellent recommendation - cheers!
Another record shop worth a thumbs up is The Land of Grey and Pink in Chester. Owned by a mate of mine, Mike. Tremendous blues section upstairs.

Ah yes I have visited The Land of Grey and Pink. Good shop. Merganser is a superb album, I am sure you will enjoy it. I think I get my new Agnes Obel album arriving this week.
