An SP-10 would be nice, but it is difficult to find one. I don’t think that my SL1200 will be too far behind one either. Sure the SP10 will be better. The most likely outcome of all this, is that I do nothing as something else will crop up that needs the cash more than another “toy”. If I were in your position Kevin, I wouldnt mess with the TT, cart or speakers because you are obviously very happy with what you have. Also, it's a massive ball ache to find something you will be 100% happy with. This road will only lead you to more changes too. What I'd suggest, is that if you have a KIN, and you are using it, Take the Alps Blue out and get a Stepped Attenuator in there. Alan had a stunning response from his KIN when he changed his to an Acoustic Dimensions SA. It's under £200, easier to pay that sort of money for an upgrade than €2k, that will only upgrade one area of your sound. The SA would upgrade everything going through it.

The reason I am happy with it is that I have not heard better equipment recently.😉

F@#$ me, the motorised ones are massive, and expensive. Hahaha, they ain't that big.... My personal experience is one of absolute conviction in the sonic benefit Stepped Attenuators have over Potentiometers. You cant go wrong with Khozmo or the Acoustic Dimensions, IMO. I haven't heard the Amtrak one, which will make your eyes water at the price lol The most Transparent one I have heard is the 64 step relay version, which is in my Neurochrome preamp. That one will set you back €400, IIRC, but I dropped lucky and got mine off SQ for half that.

Are relays reliable? My experience in other fields would suggest they are ok intil pitting starts.
The Khozmo ones at Audiophonics are €400+

Get the Acoustic Dimension motorised SA, it's a drop in, just swap the connections.

Cool. Thanks.
I have decided to purchase a MusicMaker classic that came up for sale recently. It should be interesting to see what that does.
The plans are still to get a decent MC when my amps eventually sell.

Certainly is. It came up at a good price. They get good reviews, and if I like it, I believe it can be upgraded to the "master" model.

I've been through the following ( in no particular order ):
Goldring 1012gx Zu Denon 103 AT PTG33 II Ortfon 2m Blue Decca Gold Shure 97xe Shure m55e (Jico SAS Stylus) Ortofon 2m Black (twice) ZYX r100 (twice) Denon 103R
and I've now settled on a Hana ML which is perfect for me, wish I'd heard one when they came out would have saved me a small fortune.
It should be on your demo list Kev.

Feel free to mess up my thread..... I had a HANA SL, and sold it (for roughly what I paid for it) due to the price increase. If the ML sounds like the SL, but a bit better, then it is not for me.
The problem is getting a demo to see if it is what you are after. The Music Maker Classic I have bought is a £1200 cartridge (apparently). If it is really a classic with only 300 hours on it, it is a bargain, if I like it. If not, I think there is already a buyer lined up.
I would love to do a comparison between the ML, ART-9 and Music Maker Master, but this COVID-19 is going to make travel difficult soon.

The ML has a different profile being Microline compared to the Shibata on the SL.
So the SL is similar to the 2m Black which I just didn't like even though everyone else seemed to rave about them?
I forgot to say I also used Kontrapunkt B and looking back at all the more expensive MCs I tried, they all had a similar sound/quality, and I now realise to my ears at least that they're too clean, clinical. The ML for me is far more musical, and makes me want to play another record on and turn it up rather than down and off.
Once I get the chance to have the rest of the Mafia over for a listen, we'll see if they agree that it's an improvement on what they heard last time even they said it was up there with some of the best systems they'd heard. The Stevie Ray Vaughans track Tin Pan Alley blew them away using the Zyx R100 and Firebottle Vivant. I think the ML and Bigbottle is better.
There's a demo of the ML available from a shop over here, can't remember which one it is at the moment but when I do I'll let you know.

Well, the MM Classic is getting closer. Working from home may have it’s perks in this strange time.
