I'm a fan of Dynaudio speakers I presently have Contour s3.4's which sounded excellent with amps ranging from the bargain £28 dual TPA3116 Breeze Audio amp up to Naim Nap 300. They get the very best out of more humble amps like the Nad c372 I currently use and just never put a foot wrong. They are a little big for some tastes but the smaller Contour 1.8's that I've also owned are also excellent much of what the 3'4's offer but in much smaller boxes I've also owned the Excite X32's again a small floor stander and the X14 which are stand mounted and though most Dynaudios are a bit conventional looking for some their build quality is always first class.
Dynaudios can be a bit pricey new but there are many bargains on the used market for me they give something a bit more modern than some 'classic' speakers I've owned and heard with more speed and drive.
