i have far too many albums that are not what i call great, in that is see a great album being you can listen to every track on it without feeling the need to skip track or yawn a bit..
Recent Example I can listen to U2 'War' all the way thru with ease, Put on 'Unforgettable fire' & its two tracks before yawn fest.. Suppose its a lot to do with being an obsessed fan or just a listener.
This is what makes The Beatles so great, you can just listen & listen thru the catalogue with so much ease.

It's a bit hit and miss. 'A Hard Day's Night' is great right through, and has no Ringo songs!

I always listen to an album from start to finish but as I only listen to decent stuff it's never an issue :-) Just finishing "Another Side of Bob Dylan", quality!

I used to do that, even sitting through some really rubbish tracks, partly because albums cost so much I wanted to get my money's worth, and partly because I only had a handful of them so not much choice.

It may surprise you to know , that I'm a Beatles fan aswell. Bit I'm also a realist. And Do it in the road and Rocky R are W#nk. By any stretch of the imagination. There's nothing wrong with Rev . I don't count those two as filler. A Hard days night LP ain't up to much either. Have a listen. The rest of the Beatles output .... FUCKING BRILLIANT !

What ? You knew it was his favourite Beatles album before he even said it ? Remarkable that you even wondered what this bloke from depeche Modes fave Beatles album was ! Anyway ... It's to the Beatles what Sandinista was to The Clash. Proof that on their own they'd be shite.
And they were.
A decent solo album by an ex Beatle doesn't exist. The nearest is Heorge Harrison , All things must pass. And even that doesn't come near.

Surely an artist can only have one debut album? Yes their can be in different countries ie: Van Der Graaf Generator debut in Europe only was 'Aerosol Grey Machine', in the UK the Debut was a totally different album: 'The Least We Can Do Is Wave To Each Other' There can also be more than one Eponymous album ie: David Bowie Eponymous Debut from 1967 & also the Eponymous album from 1969 that was later called 'Space Oddity' when it re-issue a few year down the line..
