Sad to see that. Hair of the Dog is one of my favourite rock albums. Please Don't Judas Me is one of the great rock anthems that few people seem to be aware of imo.

It’s strange but the death of Nik Turner crossed my mind last week. The Hawks were the start of my musical journey and are a huge part of my music collection. RIP Thunder Rider

RIP Thunder Rider Yes, Hawkwind were at the start of my musical journey too. In fact I’d been taken by sone older kids to Windsor festival in ‘73. Hawkwind were one of the main attractions. Well, them and an 18 year old dental nurse called Anne. All very mind expanding 😉 Rest easy Nik Turner

That is sad. His bizarre strut and unhinged look gave him a real stage presence, and his choppy style of playing was a big part of Feelgood's sound imo. It was reported that his black and red guitar helped to hide all the blood from his fingers, don't know how true that was. I saw him a few years ago at a one day festival in Doncaster, after he had the 'all clear'. Where he was just superb, as was the rest of the band. RIP Wilko. I'll be putting "Stupidity" on the ole vinyl spinner in the morning.

Oh no.. not Christine McVie. That's so sad, she was wonderful. 79 though I thought she was in her mid-sixties. This last ten years so many of the greatest have gone.

I'll give Rumours a play when I get home. That was my 'go to' disc when auditioning kit in the 70s/80s. Surprised she was 79, but then she had a young way about her.

Getting a bit ‘close to home’ when it’s Terry Hall.
Too much too young.

I certainly did, that and The Dandy. Seeing how they were drawn takes me back to a simpler time, the new style of drawing just doesn't do that. RIP David.

Think the Bash street kids/ Dennis the menace also were a reflection of their age/ times. Daft .. Hard to imagine kids going to depend pocket money on a Beano and quarter of wine gums.
